Jen Sager appreciates art that feels intuitive, spirited, and unforced.
Jen is fascinated by the natural world. She grew up on the East Coast of the United States, where she loved to play outdoors and spend summers wandering in the Great Smoky Mountains. Jen has always been drawn to painting, but never considered exploring that interest until she happened upon the work of Iris Scott, a fine art finger painter whose freeing style and generous nature inspired Jen to start creating. Jen finds inspiration in the works of Van Gogh, Picasso, and Edward Said Tingatinga who created the colorful and popular style Tingatinga, which depicts bright animals, often painted head-on, with bicycle paint. Jen studied Anthropology at the University of Virginia and currently resides in Maryland.
